Práce popisuje základy sémiotiky, její nejdůležitější pojmy a hlavní pravidla vizuální komunikace. Tyto používá jako stavební kameny pro praktickou část, ve které se zaměřuje na konkrétní skupinu piktogramů, tedy značení toalet, konkrétně v kavárnách, hospodách a restauracích v centru Brna. The work describes semiotical basics, most importatnt semiotic terms and main rules in visual communication. These uses as building blocks for practical part of ork, which is about specifich group of pictograms, about toilet signs in cafes, pubs and restaurants in city centre of Brno.
