Ebonics in White Discourse
Abstract:
Tato práce se pokouší dokázat šíření „černošské“ angličtiny mezi „bílou“ část populace. První část bakalářské práce se zaměřuje na popis černošské angličtiny tj. slovní zásoby, výslovnosti a gramatiky. Druhá část se pak soustředí na to, jakými prostředky se Ebonics dostává mezi „bílé.“ Těmito prostředky jsou: hudba, reklama a média.
Abstract:
This work attempts to show how Ebonics has been getting into the discourse of “white people”. In the first part of the paper, Ebonics is described in terms of vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar. The other part focuses on the means through which Ebonics has been spreading out of “black” discourse. These include: music, advertising and media.
