Abstract:
Tato práce se zabývá tématem překladu jako fáze tvorby anglických titulků k pohádce Princezna ze mlejna. Byly zde identifikovány, popsány a analyzovány hlavní překladatelské výzvy, které text obsahuje. K většině z nich byla nalezena řada řešení, s výjimkou překladu germanismů a archaického onkání, ke kterým v angličtině chybí ekvivalenty.Abstract:
The thesis deals with the topic of translation of subtitles to The Watermill Princess (Princezna ze mlejna) fairy tale movie. The main translation challenges were identified, categorized and analyzed. Satisfactory solutions to most of the challenges were found with the exception of Germanisms used in one of the dialects and with the exception of the honorifics called 'onkání' used in an aristocratic …more
