The Poetics of Daniela Hodrová s Novel

Abstract:

ANOTACE Tato práce vymezuje poetiku jednotlivých prozaických děl Daniely Hodrové. Zaměřuje se zejména na proměny příběhovosti, na narušení tradičního rozvíjení syžetu, spočívající v nesamozřejmém pojetí kategorie času, prostoru a postav. Její dílo je ukázáno ve světle remytologizačních tendencí v souladu s teorií J. M. Meletinského. První část práce přibližuje jednak zákonitosti románového světa trilogie Trýznivé město, která je považována za vrchol prozaické tvorby Daniely Hodrové, jednak se zabývá zákonitostmi světa textu. V dalších částech je věnována pozornost pozdějším autorčiným románům. Tyto romány pokračují v linii započaté románovou trilogií a potvrzují již nastolenou poetiku. Práce ale také dokazuje, že i tato díla doznala určitých změn (zejména román Komedie), jež posouvají román Daniely Hodrové až na samotnou hranici žánru.

Abstract:

ANNOTATION This diploma thesis explores the poetics of Daniela Hodrova’s prose work. It concentrates on the changes of narrative, on the departure from the traditional work with sujet, which consists in non-pragmatic, non-materialistic understanding of the categories of time, space and characters. Her novels are shown in the light of the remythological tendencies according to J. M. Meletinskij’s theory. The first part of this paper deals with the nature of the world in the trilogy Trýznivé město, which is considered the peak of Daniela Hodrova’s prosaic work. It also deals with the nature of the world of text itself. The following parts focus on Daniela Hodrova’s later novels; these novels are shown as continuous with the poetics of her trilogy. However, this paper also proves that the later prosaic work (the novel Komedie, in particular) reveals certain development in its poetics pushing the literary genre towards its limits.
