Estethic, political and social aspects of the myth about Phaedra and Hippolytus
Abstract:
In this dissertation thesis we research the myth about Phaedra and Hippolytus. We provide it in three parts. The first one analyzes and compares Euripides´s Hippolytus and Seneca´s Phaedra. The second one consists of French authors Racine and Zola. We interpret Racine´s Phaedra and Zola´s The Kill. The last part belongs to P. O. Enquist´s For Phaedra and Kane´s Phaedra´s love. V tejto práci sa venujeme mýtu o Faidre a Hippolytovi v priereze európskych literatúr od antiky až po postmodernu. Postupujeme v troch blokoch. Prvý, antický, kde analyzujeme a interpretujeme Euripidovu tragédiu Hippolytos a Senecovu Faidru. Druhý blok predstavujú dve diela z francúzskej literatúry - Faidra od Racina a Korisť od Emila Zolu.
