The Analysis of Motivation of General Nurses to Further Education in Managerial Skills

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou motivace všeobecných sester k dalšímu vzdělávání v manažerských dovednostech. Cílem této práce bylo zmapovat faktory, kterými jsou všeobecné sestry ovlivňovány k motivaci a dalšímu vzdělávání. K tomu byla použita metoda kvantitativního průzkumu, kde pomocí dotazníkového šetření byly zjišťovány faktory, kterými jsou všeobecné sestry ovlivňovány a motivovány k dalšímu vzdělávání. Bylo zjištěno, že všeobecné sestry se většinou ke vzdělávání motivují samy a zároveň chtějí rozšiřovat znalosti ve svém oboru. Za demotivační faktory uvedly nedostatek času a velkou pracovní vytíženost. Z dílčích cílů se zjistilo, že zájem o vzdělávání je značný, avšak s rostoucím věkem se snižuje. V manažerských dovednostech by všeobecné sestry motivovalo zlepšení platového ohodnocení. V otázce motivace a podpory k případnému studiu zaměstnavatelem vyplynulo, že všeobecné sestry motivovány jsou, ale podporovány méně. Ve zdravotnictví je nejdůležitější lidský zdroj, který je potřeba všeobecně vzdělávat a osvědčené jedince motivovat k dalšímu vzdělávání a studiu v manažerských dovednostech, neboť oni jsou pro rozvoj organizace klíčoví.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of motivation of general nurses to further education in management skills. The aim of this thesis was to map the factors that influence general nurses to be motivated and pursue further education. To do this, a quantitative research method was used where a questionnaire survey was used to determine the factors by which general nurses are influenced and motivated to pursue further education. It was found that general nurses are mostly self-motivated to pursue education and also want to increase their knowledge in their field. They cited lack of time and heavy workload as demotivating factors. From the sub-objectives, it was found that interest in education is considerable but decreases with increasing age. In management skills, general nurses would be motivated by improved pay. On the issue of motivation and support for possible study by the employer, it was found that general nurses are motivated but less supported. In the health sector, the human resource is its most important part which needs to be generally educated and the proven individuals need to be motivated for further education and study in management skills as they are key to the development of the organization.
