Geometry of Hilbert spaces

Abstract:

V předložené práci studujeme geometrické vlastnosti Hilbertových prostorů. Nejprve si v úvodní kapitole zavedeme aparát týkající se metrických prostorů a konvergence v nich, zobrazení metrických prostorů či vlastnosti skalárního součinu a normy, který je nezbytný ke studiu Hilbertových prostorů. V další fázi této práce se zaměříme na samotnou geometrii Hilbertových prostorů, především pak na pojem ortogonality a na vlastnosti ortonormálních posloupností. V závěrečné kapitole se budeme věnovat operátorům a funkcionálům na Hilbertových prostorech a jejich základním vlastnostem, které jsou pro ně typické.

Abstract:

In the present work we study geometrical features of Hilbert spaces. First of all we set up an introduction to the theory of metric systems, convergency, transforms of metric spaces or attributes of scalar product or norm which is necessary for studying Hilbert spaces. In another section of work we focus on geometrical features themselves, primarily on orthogonality and orthonormal sequences. In the last section we study operators in Hilbert spaces and their basic characteristics typical for them.
