Confident of major political events in Russia in the years 1894-1918 in selected Austro-Hungarian press

Abstract:

Cílem mé bakalářské práce bude vystihnout vnitřní události v Rusku v rakousko-uherském tisku, konkrétně v novinách Duch času. Věnovat se budu období od nástupu cara Mikuláše II. až do jeho smrti. Zaměřila jsem se na události jako je nástup cara na ruský trůn, války na Dálném východě, revoluce v roce 1905, první světová válka, nástup bolševiků a vražda carské rodiny. Informace, které přinesly noviny českým čtenářům, jsou zkresleny sociálním cítěním a proticarským vnímáním novinářů. Pomocí článků v Duchu času se práce snaží vystihnout vnímání obyvatelstva v tehdejším Rakousko - Uhersku.

Abstract:

The aim of my thesis is to describe the internal events in Russia in the Austro - Hungarian press, particularly the newspaper Duch času. I will devote the period from the onset of Tsar Nicholas II. until his death. I focused on events such as the emergence of the Russian Czar's throne, the war in the Far East, the revolution in 1905, the First World War, the rise of the Bolsheviks and the murder of the imperial family. Information that brought the newspaper to Czech readers are distorted by social conscience and against the Tsarist perception of journalists. Using the article in the Spirit time to work trying to capture the perceptions of the population in the former Austro - Hungarian Empire.
