Salvadoran Toponymy: a study limited to major cities of El Salvador

The present bachelor thesis occupy of toponymy of El Salvador. The attention focus on the cities which has got between 10 and 20 thousand inhabitant. The theoretical part firstly deals with science of onomastics, toponymy and the classification of this disciplines. Abstract:
Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá studiem toponym v Salvadoru. Pozornost se zaměřuje především na města, která mají mezi 10 a 20 tisíci obyvatel. Teoretická část se věnuje onomastice, toponymii a členění těchto disciplín. V praktické části je analyzován korpus 62 názvů měst v Salvadoru, který je později rozdělen podle původu pojmenování a jsou zkoumány souvislosti mezi původním osídlením a toponymy.
