Abstract:

Diplomová práce "Vyhlazování a regrese" se zabývá rozborem dvou přístupů k neparametrické regresi a neparametrickému vyhlazování, konkrétně jádrových odhadů a vyhlazovacích splajnů. Obě tyto metody jsou v práci zasazeny do kontextu regresní analýzy a čtenář je seznámen s jejich základními vlastnostmi a parametry, které ovlivňují fungování těchto metod. Dále jsou odvozeny asymptoticky optimální hodnoty těchto parametrů a také algoritmické přístupy k hledání těchto optimálních hodnot. Praktická část práce se věnuje implementaci zkoumaných metod v jazyce MATLAB a srovnáním jejich výsledků s užitím simulovaných dat.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis "Smoothing and regression" is focused on two approaches to nonparametric regression, particularly kernel estimates and smoothing splines. Both of these methods are introduced and set up within the context of regression analysis. The reader is also introduced to their basic properties and the parameters, which affect their performance and output. Asymptotically optimal values of these parameters are derived and algorithms for finding these values are also presented. Practicall part of this thesis focuses on implementation of these methods in MATLAB language and comparing their performance using simulated data.
