Sázkový trh a domácí předpojatost

Home bias at betting market
Abstract:
The aim of this thesis is to reveal whether there is home bias phenomenon present in Czech betting market. Presence of home bias implicate downward biased odds for a victory of Czech national teams. I employed a dataset consisting of Czech football and ice-hockey national teams, collected from one betting firm from year 1996. Logisitc regression was used for estimation.

Cieľom práce je pomocou získaných dát ukázať či je na českom stávkovom trhu prítomný fenomén home bias. Jeho prítomnosť na trhu značí, že kurzy na víťazstvo českej reprezentácie sú vychýlené smerom nadol. Pre výskum som využil dáta českej futbalovej a hokejovej reprezentácie od roku 1996, ktoré okrem výsledkov zápasov v riadnej hracej dobe obsahujú aj kurzy vypísané stávkovou kanceláriou.
