Educational program of a pacients after hysterectomy

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem bakalářské práce bylo navrhnout, zpracovat a realizovat edukační program pro pacientku, která podstoupila laparoskopicky asistovanou vaginální hysterektomii, a pro pacientku po abdominální hysterektomii. Metodika: V bakalářské práci byla použita metoda edukačního programu, prostřednictvím kterého mělo dojít ke zlepšení vědomostí a dovedností v oblasti pooperační péče pacientek po hysterektomii. Posouzení úrovně vědomostí bylo realizováno prostřednictvím anamnézy, vstupního/výstupního testu a formuláře pro posouzení schopnosti učit se. Výsledky: Analýzou výše uvedených metod byl zjištěn deficit vědomostí týkající se pooperačního režimu a to jak v oblasti výživy, pohybového režimu, hygieny, sexuálního života, tak i v oblastech rehabilitace a možných komplikací. Na základě těchto údajů byl navržen a zpracován edukační program, který byl následně realizován. Na závěr bylo provedeno hodnocení celého edukační programu, které vykazovalo značnou progresi úrovně vědomostí obou pacientek. Diskuze: Edukace má za úkol pomoci pacientkám porozumět celé problematice hysterektomie a pooperačního režimu. Cílem edukátora by také měla být motivace, díky které by měla pacientka dodržovat rady a zásady a tím předcházet možným komplikacím. Závěr: Edukace je nedílnou součástí celého ošetřovatelského procesu. Měla by být pečlivě naplánovaná s ohledem na aktuální stav a potřeby pacientky. Důležitá je také zpětná vazba, která je ukazatelem úspěšnosti celé edukace.

Abstract:

Aim: The aim of the bachelor thesis was to design, elaborate and implement an educational program for a patient undergoing the laparoscopic-assisted vaginal hysterectomy and for a patient after the abdominal hysterectomy. Methodology: In the bachelor thesis there was used a method of an educational program. This method should have led to the improvement of knowledge and skills in the area of postoperative care of patients after hysterectomy. Assessment of the level of knowledge was carried out through an anamnesis, an entry/exit questionnaire and a form made to consider the ability to learn. Results: An analysis of the methods above revealed a lack of knowledge regarding the postoperative regimen, both in the field of nutrition, movement, hygiene, sexual life, as well as in the areas of rehabilitation and possible complications. Based on this data, an educational program was designed and elaborated, which was subsequently implemented. In conclusion, an evaluation of the whole educational program was carried out, which showed a significant progress in the level of knowledge of both patients. Discussion: Education is designed to help patients understand the whole issue of hysterectomy and postoperative regimen. The goal of the educator should also be to motivate the patient to follow the advice and principles to prevent possible complications. Conclusion: Education is an integral part of the entire nursing process. It should be carefully planned with respect to the current status and needs of the patient. Feedback, which is an indicator of the success of the whole education, is also important.
