Idiopathic inflammatory bowel diseases and their complications in childhood

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá nespecifickými střevními záněty v dětském věku a jejich komplikacemi. Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na dosavadní poznatky uvedené v odborné literatuře zabývající se anatomií tenkého a tlustého střeva, dále je popsána funkce jednotlivých částí trávicího traktu. Na tuto část navazuje rozbor zánětlivých onemocnění střev a jejich komplikací, z nichž je analyzována Ulcerózní kolitida a Crohnova choroba. Empirická část podrobně zkoumá 5 pacientů dětského a adolescentního věku s diagnózou Crohnovy choroby nebo Ulcerózní kolitidy s důrazem na dietoterapii jako jedinou možností léčby této nemoci. Průběh onemocnění jednotlivých pacientů je zkoumán formou kazuistik, které čerpají z polostrukturovaného rozhovoru a zdravotnické dokumentace zachycující vývoj onemocnění.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis deals idiopathic inflamatory bowel diseases and their complications in childhood. The thesis focuses on the existing findings in the scientific literature dealing with the anatomy of the small and large intestines, which are important for determining the correct diagnosis of inflammatory diseases. Next part also deals with individual parts of the digestive tract. This selection is followed by an analysis of inflammatory bowel diseases and their complications, from which asee analysed ulcerative colitis and Crohn´sdisease. The empirical section examines in detail 5 paediatric and adolescent patients diagnosed with Crohn´s disease or ulcerative colitis, with emphasis on diet therapy as one treatment option for the disease. Individual patients are studied in the form of case reports, whitch draw on a semi-structured conversation with patient and their disease records capture the whole course of the disease.
