Overview of the IUCN Red List of dragonflies: analyses on the status, trends and threats to dragonfly species and their habitats in the world

Abstract:

Tato rešeršní práce pojednává o dostupných červených seznamech vážek celého světa. Seznamy byly zpracovány na regionální až nadregionální úrovni v závislosti na dostupných datech. V případě německých červených seznamů byly shrnuty také jednotlivé spolkové země. Cílem práce bylo tyto seznamy vyhledat, sumarizovat a popsat na základě co nejaktuálnějších dostupných informací, poté se zaměřit také na příčiny ohrožení vážek v různých zemích. Dále jsou v práci uvedeny možnosti ochrany biotopů a postupy, které usilují o stabilizaci stavů. Práce rovněž obsahuje srovnání jednotlivých Červených seznamů, analýzu míry kvality jejich zpracování, návrhy na jejich vylepšení a také metody pro zvýšení informovanosti veřejnosti v řešeném tématu. Seznamy byly vyhledávány v knižních publikacích a na internetových stránkách podle klíčových slov, které jsou zde uvedeny. Ve většině případů byla klíčová slova překládána do anglického jazyka a do jazyka dané země.

Abstract:

This work describes available red lists of dragonflies from all around the world. The level of the processed red lists was regional or supra-regional level according to the available data. In the case of the German red lists, the individual federal states were also summarized. The aim of the work was to search for, summarize and describe these lists based on the most up to date informations available, then to focus on the causes of the threat in Odonata in the different countries. Furthermore, the work presents the possibilities of habitat protection and methods that aim to reach a stabilization of states. The thesis also contains a comparison between the individual Red Lists, analysis of the quality of their processing, suggestions for their improvement and also methods for increasing public awareness about this topic. The lists were searched in the book publications and on the websites by using the keywords listed here. In most cases, the keywords were translated to English and to the national language of the given country.
