Abstract:

The research aims to study the adoption of the Scrum framework in industries other than software development. The Scrum framework is among the most commonly used software development frameworks. Given its widespread adoption and growing application, other industries have also begun to adopt it. Therefore, the framework is now also used in construction, banking, operations, education, marketing, human resource management, accounting, auditing, and several other industries. This research focuses on the adoption of the Scrum framework in the construction, education, and auditing sectors. The research implements surveys and interviews as primary instruments to carry out the research. The study unequivocally demonstrates several benefits of adopting and implementing the Scrum framework in multiple sectors other than traditional software development. The study also identifies key challenges that professionals may face while adopting and implementing the Scrum framework in industries other than software development.
