Salinitní stres je velkou hrozbou pro nynější generace, ale především pro generace budoucí. Zasolování půd je velmi aktuálním tématem, které nesmí být bráno na lehkou váhu. Většina plodin používaných v zemědělství není fyziologicky uzpůsobena přežít v zasolených půdách a tak se snižuje výnos hospodářských plodin, které my konzumujeme. Salinity stress is a threat for present population, but most importantly for future generations. Salinization of soil is a current issue, which should not be underestimated.
