Barriers of adults to lifelong learning

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá bariérami dospělých v celoživotním vzdělávání. Celá práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V úvodní části je charakterizováno celoživotní vzdělávání. Následně jsou vymezeny základní pojmy, které je potřeba znát při čtení této problematiky. Významnou kapitolou bude popis míry zapojení dospělých do dalšího vzdělávání a to ve formální, neformální i informální podobě. Stěžejní téma teoretické části popisuje bariéry ve vzdělávání dospělých. Jsou zde popsány tři nejvýznamnější typy bariér, rovněž je zde popsána motivace dospělých k dalšímu vzdělávání, která s touto problematikou souvisí. Na závěr teoretické části jsou stručně charakterizovány významné výzkumy, které byly v této oblasti provedeny. Praktická část práce pomocí dotazníkového šetření zjišťuje, jaké existují bariéry ve vzdělávání dospělých a zda existují proměnné, které tyto bariéry ovlivňují.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of barriers of adults to lifelong learning. It is divided into two parts ? theoretical and practical. At the very beginning lifelong learning term is explained and characterized. Basic terminology, which is needed for complete understanding of the thesis, is defined afterwards. Chapter of adults? involvement to additional learning in formal, non-formal and informal education takes significant part. Main topic of the theoretical part describes barriers of adults to their education. The description consists of the three most important types of barriers to additional education of adults and motivational factors of adults, which are closely related to barriers. At the end of the theoretical part there are mentioned some of the most significant researches made in relation to this area of expertise. The practical part uses questionnaire to find out which barriers to education of adults exists and ensure if there are any variables which could affect found barriers.
