Abstract:

Bakalářská práce Fiktivní a skutečná topologie v životě sester Brontëových se zabývá rozborem tajuplných míst na základě dvou knih Daniely Hodrové, Místa s tajemnstvím a Poetika míst. Mým cílem bylo srovnat její analýzu s romány sester Brontëových a s její pomocí najít prvky, které přispívají k tajemné podobě domů v jejich knihách. Na základě jejich srovnání jsem dospěla k názoru, že hlavním podnětem jejich tajemného vzhledu je umístnění na opuštěné vyvýšenině, obklopené pustou krajinou. Není to jen jediný element, který způsobuje tuto zvláštní atmosféru, ale také vnitřní uspořádání domu, osoby nebo nadpřirozeno, které tu často figuruje, hrají důležitou roli. V druhé části se věnuji možné podobnosti mezi jejich literárními místy a vlastními domy. S využitím biografie Elizabeth Gaskell, The Life of Charlotte Brontë, a Clementa Shortera, Charlotte Brontë and Her Sisters a The Brontës: Life and letters, jsem nalezla spojitost v umístění a uspořádání jejich domů. Jako poslední prvek, kterému se věnuji, je vliv způsobu života rodiny Brontëových na atmosféru jejich románů. Během života Anne, Emily a Charlotte Brontëových se objevilo několik prvků, které podle mého mínění mohly způsobit ponurý tón jejich knih. Jedná se především o špatné životní podmínky, které převládaly v jejich malém městě Haworthu, a také postupnou ztrátu jejich nejbližších.

Abstract:

The thesis Fictional and factual topology in lives of the Brontë sisters deals with analysis of mysterious places on the basis of two works of Daniela Hodrová. In my thesis I have compared her analysis with three novels of the Brontë sisters and with a help of her works found elements that contribute to the mysterious look of houses in their books. On the basis of the comparison I have come to the conclusion that the main motive of their mysterious appearances causes their location on a derelict high-located place surrounded by a barren countryside. This is not the only element that contributes to this unusual atmosphere, but also the inner arrangement of the house, the character or the supernatural play important roles. In the second part I have tried to discover possible resemblances between their literary places and their own places of living. With a use of biographies by Elizabeth Gaskell, The Life of Charlotte Brontë, and Clement Shorter, Charlotte Brontë and Her Sisters a The Brontës: Life and letters, I have found a connection in locations and an arrangements of their houses. At the very end I have attempted to detect any possible influences of the way of life of the Brontë family on the atmosphere of their novels. According to my assumption, in the life of Anne, Emily and Charlotte Brontë had appeared several elements that may have caused the dreary tone of their books. Mainly the bad life conditions that permeated in their small village and also the lost of their closest family members must have affected their lives.
