This thesis aims to provide the reader with a comprehensive history of the War on Drugs in the United States and the effect it has had on the black community. The thesis opens by analyzing the factors that led to the emergence of the War on Drugs. It then explores various presidential administrations and how their efforts affected the War on Drugs.
