Analýza vztahů a souvislostí mezi copingovými strategiemi a protektivními osobnostními charakteristikami

Relation analysis of coping strategies and protective personal characteristics

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je součástí širšího výzkumného projektu Centra pro komplexní psychologický výzkum stresu. Na výzkumu spolupracovalo deset studentů Psychologie Masarykovy univerzity. Společným cílem této práce je detailní analýza reakcí člověka ve stresové situaci. Výzkumný vzorek tvořili zaměstnanci vězeňské služby. V teoretické části se zabýváme aktivitou člověka v tíživé situaci, adaptací na zátěžovou situaci, nastiňujeme rozdíl mezi používáním obranných mechanismů a strategií zvládání zátěže. Detailněji se zaměřujeme na fenomén copingu. Prozkoumáváme širokou paletu přístupů ke copingu a copingovým strategiím, uvádíme historický pohled ve vývoji názorů na toto téma a také zmiňujeme nové přístupy ke strategiím zvládání. Na závěr se zabýváme osobnostními faktory, které působí protektivně ve stresové situaci. Ve výzkumné části provádíme analýzu vztahů copingových strategií s těmito osobnostními faktory. Také zjišťujeme souvislost mezi mírou stresovanosti a preferencí adaptivních či maladaptivních strategií. V našem výzkumu jsme zjišťovali rozložení copingových strategií pomocí testu SVF 78. Osobnostně protektivní charakteristiky jsme pak zkoumali dotazníky S-EF, SOC, LOC a PVS. Míru stresovanosti jsme měrili pomocí dotazníku Stress Profil. V analýze souvislostí těchto osobnostních faktorů (self-efficacy, sence of coherence, locus of control, hardiness) s jednotlivými copingovými strategiemi jsme zjistili, že konstrukty sence of coherence a self-efficacy statisticky významně korelují s strategiemi kontroly. Výsledek korelace internalismu a subtestu kontroly se také prokázal jsou statisticky významný. Souvislost mezi používáním adaptivních copingových strategií a mírou nezdolnosti ve smyslu hardiness nebyla prokázána. Vysoká míra stresovanosti je ve vztahu s preferencí používání maladaptivních copingových strategií.

Abstract:

This thesis is a part of an extensive research project regarding people in supporting professions and people employed in highly stressful occupations. This project is recognized by The Department of Psychology of the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University in Brno and the Centre for Complex Research of Stress at the Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies in Brno. Moreover, the research is based on a collective study of ten students of Psychology at Masaryk University. This part of the study is focused on coping with stressful situations. The main aim was to analyze the relations between coping strategies and protective personal characteristics. From the personal characteristics that increase the resilience in stressful situations, the constructs of self-efficacy, sense of coherence, locus of control and hardiness were chosen. Furthermore, a connection between the degree of perceived stress and the preference of using maladaptive coping strategies was also explored. The research data indicates that the sense of coherence and self-efficacy are connected with the strategies of control but the relationship between hardiness and the used strategies was not found. In addition, there was a slight connection proven between degree of stress and tendency to use maladaptive coping strategies.
