The role of a social worker from the point of view fo the social service user

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Role sociálního pracovníka z pohledu uživatele sociální služby“ je zaměřena na sociální pracovnice služby Café Práh a na jejich přístupy a role vnímané uživateli této služby. V teoretické části práce se čtenáři seznámí s vymezením pojmu sociální služby, zmínka je o jejich historii, metodách a přístupech práce sociálních pracovníků. Také si tu vymezíme pojem klient, uživatel, pacient. V jedné kapitole se zabývám samotným sociálním pracovníkem, jeho kompetencemi, rolemi a osobnostními předpoklady. V teoretické části také poukazuji na specifika práce s lidmi s dlouhodobým duševním onemocněním. Následující kapitola doplní informace z oblasti metod sociální práce a přístupy práce, které jsou uplatňovány v práci s klientem. Empirická část, která vychází z metody kvalitativního výzkumu dle Strausse a Corbinové, přibližuje vlastní chápání role sociálního pracovníka z pohledu uživatele služby Café Práh. Zabývá se jejich potřebami při spolupráci se sociální pracovnicí a také jejich očekávání od vztahu se sociální pracovnicí. Výsledky šetření jsou vymezeny v analytické triádě otevřeného, axiálního a selektivního kódování.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis "The role of a social worker from the view of a social service user" focuses on social workers from Café Práh and their approches and roles as perceived by the users of the social service. In the theoretical part of this work the readers are introduced to the concept of social service, its history, methods and approaches used by social workers. Also, there is definition of the client, user, patient. In one chapter I look at the social worker herself/himself, her/his competencies, roles and personality requirements. In the theoretical part I also point out the specifics of the work with people with long-term mental disorders. The second chapter adds information about the social work methods and the approaches which are applied in the work with the client. The empirical part, which uses the qualitative research techniques by Strauss and Corbin, draws on the perception of the role of the social worker from the view of the user of Café Práh services itself. It looks into their requirements when they are working with the social worker and also their expectations from the relationship. The results are qualified in terms of the open, axial and selective coding.
