Deposition and characterization of nanolaminated coatings containing metal, boron and carbon
Abstract:
This thesis is focused on coating preparation by magnetron sputtering and on coating characteristic. Based on the ab initio calculations, material composed of metal, boron and carbon should exhibit high hardness and fractures resistance. Táto bakalárska práca sa zaoberá prípravou tenkých vrstiev pomocou magnetrónového naprašovania a ich charakterizáciou. Kvantovo-mechanickými výpočtami bol skupinou prof. J. M. Schneidera predpovedaný materiál tvorený kovom, bórom a uhlíkom, ktorý by mal vykazovať vysokú tvrdosť a zvýšenú lomovú húževnatosť.
