The influence of canis therapy on impaired communication ability

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá vlivem canisterapie na narušenou komunikační schopnost. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části - teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretické část se zabývá vymezením pojmů řeč a jazyk, narušená komunikační schopnost, zooterapie a canisterapie. Dále je v teoretické části definováno jak probíhá ontogenetický vývoj řeči, jak je klasifikována narušenou komunikační schopnost a jakým způsobem probíhá canisterapie. V neposlední řadě se práce zabývá legislativním ukotvením této terapie. Praktická část se zabývá zodpovězením hlavních a parciální cílů.Na tyto otázky je odpovězeno zkoumáním výzkumného vzorku dětí pomocí pozorování a následných rozhovorů s paní učitelkou a terapeutkami. Dále se v empirická část věnuje i spolupráci mezi základní školou a canisterapeutickým sdružením a charakterizuje běžný průběh canisterapeutického sezení. V závěru bakalářské jsou zodpovězeny hlavní i parciální cíle výzkumu. V bakalářské práci jsou použity metody kvalitativního výzkumu tedy studium odborné literatury, přímé pozorování, rozhovory s třídní učitelkou a terapeutkami. Práce by měla přinést kompaktní přehled toho, co canisterapie je a možnosti jejího využití při terapii narušené komunikační schopnosti.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the influence of canis therapy on impaired communication ability. The thesis is divided into two parts – theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with the definition of the terms speech and language, impaired communication ability, zootherapy and canis therapy. Furthermore, the theoretical part defines how the ontogenetic development of speech takes place, how impaired communicative ability is classified and how canis therapy takes place. Last but not least, the thesis deals with the legislative anchoring of this therapy. The practical part deals with answering the main and partial objectives. These questions are answered by examining the research sample of children through observation and follow-up interviews with the teacher and therapists. In addition, the empirical section also explores the collaboration between the primary school and the canis therapy association and characterises the normal course of a canis therapy session. In the conclusion of the thesis, the main and partial objectives of the research are answered. In the bachelor thesis qualitative research methods are used i.e. literature study, direct observation, interviews with the class teacher and the therapists. The thesis should provide a compact overview of what canis therapy is and the possibilities of its use in the therapy of impaired communication skills.
