This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of the novel Romeo and Juliet of the Village (Romeo und Julia auf dem Dorfe) by Gottfried Keller. Its theoretical part focuses on emotions, emphasizes the complexity of efforts to define emotions and presents properties that allow us to do so. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou novely Romeo und Julia auf dem Dorfe (Romeo a Julie na vsi) od Gottfrieda Kellera. Její teoretická část je zaměřena na emoce, zdůrazňuje složitost pokusů o jejich definování a dokládá vlastnosti emocí, díky kterým je možno emoce definovat.
