Detection of anti-HLA antibodies in patients after solid organ transplantation

Abstract:

Vyšetření protilátek proti HLA antigenům patří mezi základní vyšetření u pacientů před orgánovou transplantací, slouží k odhalení senzitizovaných nemocných s vysokým imunologickým rizikem rejekce převážně u transplantace ledvin a k posttransplantačnímu monitorování protilátek pro včasné rozpoznání rejekce a její adekvátní léčbě. V teoretické části mé práce se zaměřuji na teoretické poznatky o HLA systému a anti-HLA protilátkách, dále uvádím charakteristiku orgánových transplantací spolu s jejich hlavní komplikaci, kterou je rejekce. V praktické části jsou statisticky zpracovány a vyhodnoceny výsledky vyšetření anti-HLA protilátek u transplantovaných pacientů, kteří měli podezření na humorální rejekci.

Abstract:

Testing of antibodies against HLA antigens is a basic examination at patients before organ transplantation; it is used to detect sensitized patients in high immunological risk of rejection, mostly in kidney transplantation and to the posttransplant monitoring of antibodies for the early detection of rejection and its appropriate treatment. The theoretical part of my thesis is focused on the knowledge of the HLA system and anti-HLA antibodies, further on, I mention the characteristics of the organ transplantation along with their main complication - rejection. In the practical part, there are statistically processed and evaluated results of the examination of anti-HLA antibodies in patients after the transplantation, who had been suspected to undergo humoral rejection.
