Acute coronary syndrome in late adulthood

Abstract:

Cíl práce: Cílem bakalářské práce bylo zmapovat znalosti a postoje populace v pozdní dospělosti k prevenci akutního koronárního syndromu. Metodika: Do zkoumaného souboru bylo zařazeno 137 respondentů. Jednalo se o muže a ženy nad padesát let věku, kteří byli náhodně osloveni a s průzkumem souhlasili. K průzkumu byl použit nestandardizovaný dotazník, jehož obsahem bylo devatenáct otázek. Průzkum byl anonymní a byl prováděn v časovém rozmezí od 20. 12. 2016 do 15. 2. 2017. Výsledky: Průzkumem bylo zjištěno, že uvedený vzorek populace mužů a žen má dobré znalosti v oblasti rizikových faktorů způsobujících AKS. Také téměř dvě třetiny dotázaných si je vědomo, že můžou být ohroženi onemocněním srdce. Pozitivně se dá hodnotit i životní styl dotázaných, který obsahuje dostatek zdravé stravy. V oblasti prevence před AKS jsou však informace mírně nedostačující. Rovněž zdroje, ze kterých respondenti čerpali informace o prevenci před AKS jsou nevyhovující. Závěr: Kardiovaskulární onemocnění je dnes nejrozšířenější onemocnění, na které stále umírá nejvíce osob ve vyspělém světě. Přes veškerou přednemocniční i následnou nemocniční péči se tento stav ve vyspělých zemích stále výrazně nelepší. Jedním z možných a účinných způsobů jak tento stav zlepšit, je preventivní činnost. Tímto jednoduchým opatřením se dá populace směřovat tak, aby se do budoucna vyhnula možným rizikům a zdravotním komplikacím související s akutním koronárním syndromem. Prevenci je potřeba zaměřit na celou populaci. Nikoli jen na ohrožené jedince a s touto prevencí začít již u dětí, aby si osvojily základní návyky v oblasti prevence.

Abstract:

The goal: The aim of the thesis was to map the knowledge and attitudes of the population in later adulthood for the prevention of acute coronary syndrome.     The method: There were 137 respondents in the examined group. These were men and women over fifty years, who were randomly approached and agreed with the survey. The survey used standard questionnaire with nineteen questions. The survey was anonymous and was carried out in the period from 20th of December 2016 till 15th of February 2017.     The results: The survey found that the sample population of men and women, have a good knowledge of risk factors causing AKS. Also, nearly two thirds of respondents are aware that they could be at risk of heart disease. Positively can be evaluated surveyed the lifestyle that includes plenty of a healthy food. Unfortunately, there are slightly insufficient information in the area of prevention of ACS. Also, sources from which respondents learned about prevention of ACS are unsatisfactory.     The conclusion: Cardiovascular disease is now the most common disease that most people are still dying in the developed world. Despite of all the pre-hospital and hospital care with this situation in developed countries is still significant progress. There is one possible and efficient ways to improve this situation, it is a preventive action. With this preventive action can be the population directed to avoid future potential risks and health complications associated with acute coronary syndrome. It is needed to focus prevention to the whole population. Not only for vulnerable individuals. And start with the prevention in children´s age to acquire basic skills in the field of prevention.
