The Wandering Jew

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce s názvem „Ahasver“ je inspirovaná legendární postavou Věčného Žida ze středověké křesťanské tradice. Soubor maleb se pokouší zachytit individuální pocity, které tato postava evokuje. Téma je pojato ilustrativně. Cílem práce je představit vnímateli postavu Ahasvera, který některými vlastnostmi jemu připisovanými může být blízký a zajímavý pro dnešního člověka.

Abstract:

Bachelor’s thesis with a title „The Wandering Jew“ is inspirated by legendary character of Wondering Jew from medieval Christian tradition. The collection of paintigs try to represent individual feelings, which this charakter evokes. The theme is illustrative conceived. The target of this thesis is to interpret The Wandering Jew, who could be due to some of his features near and interesting for nowadays people.
