Self-administered test of taste function using taste strips

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem "Samovyšetření chuti pomocí taste strips". Tato práce je rozdělena na teoretická východiska a výzkumnou část. Teoretická část definuje anatomii a fyziologii jazyka, onemocnění a vyšetření spjaté s poruchami chuti. Ve výzkumné části byl vytvořen chuťový test. Cílem bylo vytvořit screeningový test pro samovyšetření chuti, kterým je nemocný schopen sám otestovat rozlišení čtyř základních chutí. Výsledky byly porovnány s běžně užívaným testem, který však vyžaduje přítomnost erudovaného zdravotnického personálu.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the topic "Taste self-examination using a taste strips". This work is divided into theoretical background and research part. The theoretical part defines the anatomy and physiology of the tongue, diseases and examinations associated with taste disorders. A taste test was created in the research part. The aim was to create a screening test for self-examination of taste, by which the patient can able to test for himself the distinction of four basic tastes. The results were compared with a commonly used test, which, however, requires the presence of erudite medical staff.
