A Crisis in the Family Living with a Patient with Multiple Sclerosis in the Socio-Educational Context

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je věnována problémům rodiny, v níž partner onemocní nevyléčitelnou, chronickou, degenerativní nemocí mozku a míchy roztroušenou sklerózou. Nemoc a s ní související invalidita jsou příčinou mnoha osobních i společných ztrát a zásadních změn, které mnohdy ústí v rozpad partnerského vztahu, osamělost, izolaci, depresi a s ní souvise-jící akceleraci nemoci postižených. Cestou kvalitativního výzkumu formou pozorování i rozhovorů si klade práce za cíl tuto krizi z pohledů obou partnerů identifikovat a hledat možnosti párům pomoci obtíže úspěšně společně překonat a zabránit tak rozpadu rodinného pouta.

Abstract:

The thesis is devoted to the problems of the families in which partner gets an incurable, chronic, degenerative disease of the brain and spinal cord multiple sclerosis. Disease and related disability are the cause of many personal and collective losses and significant chan-ges, which often leads to the disintegration of a relationship, loneliness, isolation, depressi-on and related illness affected by acceleration. The way of qualitative research in the form of observations and interviews aims to work for the purpose of this crisis from the per-spectives of both partners to identify and search options help couples successfully together to overcome difficulties and to prevent the disintegration of the family ties.
