The influence of financial advisers on the cultivation of financial markets and financial literacy

Abstract:

Práce je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol. První kapitola se věnuje teorii týkající se finanční gramotnosti, zejména vymezení pojmu samotného, a následně představuje finanční instrumenty. Druhá kapitola práce je věnována kultivaci finančního trhu, především uskutečněné regulaci a potenciálním dalším možnostem kultivace trhu. Praktická část práce se zabývá dvěma problémy. První je průzkum a zhodnocení aspektů ovlivňujících finanční gramotnost veřejnosti prostřednictvím vlastního dotazníkového šetření. Druhý problém je vývoj situace na zprostředkovatelském trhu, konkrétně vývoj pojištění po novele zákona č.38/2004. Těmto tématům se věnuje třetí, respektive čtvrtá kapitola. Zdůrazňuji, že se jedná o práci zaměřenou na retailový trh, práce tedy probírá problémy z tohoto pohledu, vůbec se nedotýká wholesale trhů.

Abstract:

The thesis consists of four chapters, the first chapter deals with the theory of financial literacy, especially the definition of the concept itself and consequently the financial instruments. Second chapter focuses on the cultivation of the financial market, especially the implemented regulation and potential other possibilities of market cultivation. The practical part is devoted to two problems. The first is the survey and assessment of the aspects influencing the financial literacy of the public through its own questionnaire survey. The second problem is the development of the situation on the intermediary market, namely the development of the insurance after the amendment of Act No. 38/2004. These topics are dealt with in the 3rd and 4th respectively chapter 4. Thesis is focused on the retail market only, it does not include wholesale markets at all.
