The Contribution of Supervision to The Improvement of The Competences of a Social Worker in a Specialized Counseling Center for Women and Children Experiencing Violence

Abstract:

Práca je zameraná na prínos supervízie pre skvalitnenie kompetencií sociálnych pracovníkov v špecializovaných poradenských centrách pre ženy a deti zažívajúce násilie. V teoretickej časti približujeme čo formuje sociálneho pracovníka a jeho kompetencie a venujeme sa kríze. Uvádzame zoznam základných pojmov z oblasti supervízie a možné riziká, s ktorými sa v priebehu supervízie stretávame. Záverečná kapitola je zameraná na ukotvenie supervízie v zákone, na osobnosť supervízora a tiež najčastejšie riziká, ktoré s touto profesiou súvisia a ktorými je možné supervíziou účinne predchádzať. Praktická časť je zameraná na zmapovanie prínosu supervízie pre skvalitnenie kompetencií očami pracovníkov v sociálnych službách, ktorí sa venujú starostlivosti o ženy a deti zažívajúce násilie. Kvalitatívny prístup je použitý pri metóde analýzy zakotvenej teórie. Metódou zberu dát je rozhovor.

Abstract:

The work is focused on the contribution of supervision to the improvement of the competences of a social workers in a specialized counseling centers for women and children experiencing violence. In the theoretical part we describe what shapes the social worker and his competences and we also deal with the crisis. We present a list of basic concepts in the field of supervision and possible risks that we encounter during supervision. The final chapter focuses on the anchoring of supervision in law, the personality of the supervisor and also the most common risks associated with this profession and which can be effectively prevented by supervision. The practical part is focused on mapping the benefits of supervision to improve the competences through the eyes of social workers who care for women and children experiencing violence. The qualitative approach is used with the method of analysis of grounded theory. The method of data collection is an interview.
