Abstract:

Tématem této bakalářské práce jsou Squatterské aktivity v České republice za posledních více než 20 let. Teoretická část Bakalářské práce rozebírá squatting jako protestní sociální hnutí především mladých lidí, ukazuje jeho příčiny, důsledky a cíle. Vysvětluje rozdíl mezi soukromým vlastnictvím a osobním majetkem. Uvádí jednotlivé druhy squattingu a nejčastější politické zařazení squatterů. Věnuje se represi ze strany státních orgánů a soukromých vlastníků s odkazem na bytovou problematiku. Nezapomíná na významné české squaty od začátku 90. let do současnosti. Praktická část se věnuje především porovnání rozdílnosti squattingu v 90. letech a současným pokusům o tento sociální jev. Ukazuje společné rysy i odlišnosti v tomto sociálním hnutí za posledních 25 let a poukazuje i na opětovný zájem o squatting a projekty autonomních sociálně-kulturních center v současnosti.

Abstract:

The topic of this bachelor's thesis is Squatter activities in the Czech Republic over the past twenty years. The theoretical part of this bachelor's thesis deals with squatting as a social protest movement, especially among young people. It explores the causes, consequences, and results of squatting as an act and as a protest; it explains the difference between private property and personal assets; it describes the various forms of squatting; it discusses squatters' most frequent political inclinations and allegiances; and it describes responses by both state authorities and private owners, with reference to housing problems. Evidence is provided via case studies of the most important Czech squats from the early 1990s to the present. The practical part of the thesis deals with the differences between squatting in the nineties and at the present time. It shows the constants and changes in this social movement over the past twenty five years, and also points to recently renewed interest in squatting and to projects establishing autonomous social-cultural centres.
