Noble breeding?

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá vlivem člověka na šlechtění zvířat, vztahem mezi lidmi a zvířaty, moderními šlechtitelskými trendy a problémy vyplývajícími z cílené plemenitby psů. První část práce je věnována etice chovu zvířat, pravidlům welfare a hlavním historickým názorovým proudům na vztah mezi člověkem a zvířaty. Druhá kapitola nastiňuje moderní trendy ve šlechtění užitkových zvířat, vliv genetického inženýrství a budoucnost biotechnologií v hospodářském průmyslu. Třetí kapitola se věnuje zájmovým chovům a šlechtění zvířat z lidského rozmaru, zaměřeného zvláště na problematiku soudobého šlechtění psů, kde jsou výsledky velmi markantní a rychle patrné. Jsou vzneseny etické otázky na základní problémy dnešního exteriérového chovu psů, který přináší zvířatům značné zdravotní i psychické problémy jen pro potěchu chovatelů. Závěrečná kapitola poukazuje na vývoj německých ovčáků a naháčů, které člověk změnil během posledních let k nepoznání a kteří touto degenerací značně trpí. Je potřeba, aby si člověk uvědomil možnosti svého vlivu na přírodu a zamyslel se nad vlivem svých činů na přítomnost i budoucnost zvířat a kvalitu jejich života.

Abstract:

This work deals with the human impact on animal breeding, the relationship between humans and animals, modern breeding trends and challenges resulting from the targeted dog breeding. The first part is devoted to the ethics of animal husbandry, rules, welfare and major historical currents of opinion on the relationship between man and animals. The second chapter outlines the latest trends in breeding livestock, the impact of genetic engineering and the biotechnology future of the economic industry.The third chapter is devoted to interest breeding and animal breeding from the human whim, focusing particularly on issues of contemporary dog breeding, where the results are very striking and easily visible. They are raised ethical issues on the fundamental problems of today's exterior dog breeding, that causes for animals significant health and psychological problems and only for the farmers pleasance. The final chapter highlights the development of German Shepherds and Hairless dogs, that man has changed beyond recognition over last years, and who have greatly suffered from this degeneration. The humen need to realize the possibilities of their influence on nature and considere the impact of their actions on present and future of animals and their quality of life.
