Distributed IPv6 Tunnel Broker

Abstract:

Protokol IPv6 je nástupcem v současnosti používaného protokolu pro přenos informací IPv4. Tato práce navrhuje systém pro snadné tunelovaní IPv6 provozu přes stávající IPv4 síť. V teoretické části se zaměřuje na možnosti využití různých tunelovacích technik a navrhuje webový systém pro jejich správu. Zároveň je zde řešen problém zachování uživatelské IPv6 adresy napříč systémem. V praktické části je vysvětlena implementace takového systému, včetně ukázky praktického využití. Systém je implementován formou databáze s webovým portálem, prostředky pro provoz tunelovacích serverů a systémem pro automatické sestavení tunelu na straně uživatele.

Abstract:

Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) is a version of the Internet Protocol that was designed to succeed Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4). This thesis presents system for simple IPV6 traffic tunneling through an IPV4 backbone that already exists. The theoretical part of the thesis is aimed at use of different tunneling techniques and introduces a web-based user interface for their administration. It also resolves and gives resolution to the problem of keeping users’ IPV6 address across the system. The practical part describes the very implementation of such system including an practice example. The system consists of database, web-based user interface, a collection of software (scripts) controlling operation of tunneling servers, fully automized tunnel-creating operation on client endpoints.
