Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje především popisu a zkoumání života mužů na rodičovské dovolené.V teoretické části se zabývám funkcí a významem role otce při vývoji a výchově dítěte. Dále také sleduji proměnu otcovství v dějinách lidstva, srovnávám institut rodičovské a otcovské dovolené u nás a v zahraničí, popisuji možnosti aktivního otce v České republice.
