An Arduino-based Tuition Platform for Teaching Programming in a Secondary School

Abstract:

Cílem práce bylo vytvořit kompaktní platformu pro výuky a seznámení se s vývojovou deskou Arduino. Platforma je především jako podpora učiteli do výuky a také jako mož-nost žákům si vyzkoušet jednotlivé komponenty. Práce je koncipovaná tak, aby žáci měli možnost se rychle a efektivně seznámit s platformou Arduino a pochopit základní princip a využití jednotlivých komponentů. V teoretické části se práce zabývá popisem jednotlivých typů desek Arduino se kterými se mohou žáci v průběhu studia setkat. Dále jsou popsány jednotlivé dostupné komponenty, které lze použít při tvorbě nejrůznějších projektů. V praktické části byla vytvořena vlastní platforma, která byla osazena vývojovou deskou Arduino Mega a k ní jsou připojeny vybrané komponenty, jako je displej nebo klávesnice. Pro možnost rozšíření platformy je také osazena nepájivým polem, které lze využít pro pro-totypování. Pro platformu byla vytvořena výuková prezentace, a několik praktických úkolů pro žáky.

Abstract:

The aim of the work was to create a compact platform for learning and familiarization with the Arduino development board. The platform is mainly as a support for the teacher in the classroom and also as an opportunity for students to try out the different components. The work is designed in such a way that the pupils have the opportunity to quickly and effi-ciently get acquainted with the Arduino platform and understand the basic principle and use of each component. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the description of the different types of Ardui-no boards that pupils may encounter during their studies. Furthermore, the different avai-lable components that can be used in the creation of various projects are described. In the practical part, a custom platform was created, which was equipped with an Arduino Mega development board and selected components such as a display or a keyboard are connected to it. For the possibility of extending the platform, it is also fitted with a non-soldering array that can be used for pro-typing. An educational presentation was created for the platform, and several practical tasks for the students.
