The aim of this work is to analyse the feeling of “loss” in the novel O Retorno by Portuguese author Dulce Maria Cardoso. In the first part of the work will be introduced a historical context, (de)colonization in portuguese literature and the life of author. Abstract:
Cílem této práce je analýza pocitu ztráty v románu O Retorno portugalské autorky Dulce Maria Cardoso. V první části práce bude představen historický kontext, následně (de)kolonizace v portugalské literatuře a život autorky. V druhé části se pokusíme zanalyzovat román a symboliku ztráty, jakožto je výrazným prvkem, který se odráží nejen v románu, ale i v celém období.
