Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na každodenní život v pohraničí v první polovině 20. století, s důrazem na změny a specifika života v daném historickém kontextu. Autorka se opírá o literární prameny, rozhovory s pamětníky a rešerše dobové literatury. Důležitým prvkem jsou rozhovory s pamětníky, které představují klíčový zdroj kulturního dědictví.
