A comparison of Prague Airport and Minsk Airport

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá leteckou dopravou a letištní ekonomikou. V teoretické části jsou popsané základní informace o letecké dopravě, její význam, historie a nejvýznamnější mezinárodní letecké organizace. Dále je vysvětleno pojetí letiště, jeho infrastruktura, poskytované služby a letištní ekonomika. Dále následuje praktická část, která se zabývá historií a charakteristikou vybraných letišť, a analyzuje postavení těchto letišť z pohledu obyvatelstva dané země, dostupnosti a jednotlivých výkonových ukazatelů v jednotlivých rocích, jako třeba počet pohybů letadel, počet odbavených cestujících a počet tun přistání certifikované maximální vzletové hmotnosti letadel

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is concerned with air transportation and airport economics. The theoretical part is applied to general information about the industry of air transportation, its importance and history, and major international civil aviation organizations. It describes the infrastructure of an airport, its economics and services it provides. The thesis is followed by the practical part, where the history of chosen airports is described and an analysis of its position according to population of the area, accessibility of the airports and chosen performance indicators, such as a number of movements, a number of served passengers and a number of landing tones, is provided.
