Ultrasonography of liver disease

Abstract:

Ve své bakalářské práci se zabývám principy a klinickým významem ultrasonografie jater se zdůrazněním přínosu kontrastní ultrasonografie ? nové metody, která umožňuje posuzovat perfuzní charakteristiky jaterních onemocnění a tím zvýšit přesnost jejich detekce a diferenciální diagnózy. V teoretické části je vysvětlena anatomie a fyziologie jater, uveden přehled nejčastějších jaterních patologií a rozebrány technické principy ultrasonografie včetně kontrastní ultrasonografie. V praktické části demonstruji využití kontrastní ultrasonografie v klinické praxi a její možné výhody oproti dalším metodám.

Abstract:

In my bachelor thesis I deal with principles and clinical relevance of liver ultrasonography with emphasis on the contribution of contrast ultrasonography - a new method which allows to assess perfusion characteristics of liver disease and thereby improve the accuracy of detection and differential diagnosis. In the theoretical part I give an overview of the liver anatomy and physiology, of the most common liver pathology and technical principles of ultrasonography including contrast enhanced ultrasonography. In the practical part I demonstrate the use of contrast enhanced ultrasonography in clinical practice and its potential advantages over other methods.
