SMART CITY concept from the perspective of water retention in the landscape and urban surroundings

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá mapováním současného stavu v zavádění konceptu Smart City v České republice se zaměřením na fenomén zadržování vody. Práce v první části definuje a vysvětluje pojem Smart City a jeho chytrá řešení, využívaná pro zlepšení a zefektivnění vodního managementu. Následně analyzuje, zda krajská města v České republice mají zpracován tento koncept Smart City s primárním zaměřením na zmíněnou problematiku a dále pak uvádí příklady realizace a zkušeností ze zahraničí. Praktická část využívá kvantitativního výzkumu prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření, aby identifikovala postoj krajských měst ke konceptu Smart City a jejich přístup k zadržování vody. Výsledky odhalují, že i přestože se krajská města při implementaci chytrých řešení potýkají s mnoha bariérami, jako například velké finanční náklady či kolize s podzemními sítěmi technické infrastruktury, aktivně využívají chytrá řešení, jež jsou v této bakalářské práci definována. Jednotlivá města rovněž využívají zapojení občanů, jakožto hnací sílu ke svému rozvoji. Na základě svých dosavadních zkušeností a stavu poznání autorka představuje některé myšlenky a koncepty využívající chytrá řešení, jež pozitivně podporují hospodaření s vodou. V závěru je uvedeno zhodnocení výstupů a návrh možných opatření.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the mapping of the current state of implementation of the Smart City concept in the Czech Republic with a focus on the phenomenon of water retention. In the first part, the thesis defines and explains the concept of Smart City and its smart solutions used to improve and streamline water management. It then analyses whether regional cities in the Czech Republic have developed this Smart City concept with a primary focus on the aforementioned issue, and then provides examples of implementation and experience from abroad. The practical part uses quantitative research through a questionnaire survey to identify the attitude of regional cities towards the Smart City concept and their approach to water retention. The results reveal that even though cities face many barriers in implementing smart solutions, such as large financial requirements or collisions with underground technical infrastructure networks, they actively use the smart solutions defined in this thesis. Individual cities are also using citizen engagement as a driving forcecfor their development. Based on her experience and state of knowledge to date, the author presents some ideas and concepts using smart solutions that positively support water management. The paper concludes with an assessment of the outcomes and proposals.
