Racism at football stadiums in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na téma rasismu na českých fotbalových stadionech a přináší kvalitativní výzkum zabývající se fenoménem rasismu v tomto prostředí. Práce se zaměřuje na vymezení hranic rasismu v prostředí Hooligans a Ultras, kteří jsou často spojováni s rasistickými projevy. V práci jsou popsány konkrétní projevy rasismu, které se na těchto stadionech vyskytují, a jsou analyzovány faktory, které tuto problematiku ovlivňují. Práce se zabývá otázkou, jak jsou v praxi uplatňovány sankce a jaký mají vliv na snižování výskytu rasistických projevů na stadionech. Práce také zkoumá postoj fanoušků a jejich názor na rasistické projevy na stadionech. Výsledky výzkumu jsou shrnuty a diskutovány z hlediska možností prevence rasismu na fotbalových stadionech. Práce přináší nové poznatky a doporučení pro řešení této problematiky a může být užitečným zdrojem informací pro odbornou i laickou veřejnost.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the topic of racism in Czech football stadiums and presents qualitative research on the phenomenon of racism in this environment. The thesis focuses on defining the boundaries of racism in the environment of Hooligans and Ultras, who are often associated with racist manifestations. The thesis describes the specific manifestations of racism that occur in these stadiums and analyses the factors that influence this issue. The thesis addresses the question of how sanctions are applied in practice and what effect they have on reducing the incidence of racist displays in stadiums. The thesis also examines the attitudes of fans and their views on racist displays in stadiums. The results of the research are summarised and discussed in terms of the possibilities of preventing racism in football stadiums. The thesis provides new insights and recommendations for addressing this issue and can be a useful source of information for both the professional and lay public.
