Fylogenetic relationship within Afrotheria

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je psaná formou literární rešerše a jejím tématem je skupina placentálních savců Afrotheria. Tato skupina je zajímává především tím, že z hlediska morfologie jsou si podobni velice málo a jejich příbuznost byla zjištěna až na základě molekulárních analýz. Práce je v prvé řadě zaměřena na fylogenezi jednotlivých řádů a je uvedeno také rozdělení a rozdíly mezi taxony jednotlivých řádů. Součástí této bakalářské práce jsou také výsledky morfologických a molekulárních studií, které se zabývají skupinou jako celek. Cílem je shrnutí dosavadních poznatků o této skupině, a to zejména o vzájemných fylogenetických vztazích jednotlivých recentních skupin v rámci Afrotheria. Výsledky práce by měly nejen shrnout a setřídit informace o této skupině, ale také objasnit, mezi kterými taxony jsou vztahy jasné či nejasné.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is written in the form of a literary review and its topic is the group of the placental mammals Afrotheria. This group is mainly interested in the fact that they are very little similar from the point of view of morphology and their affinity was found only on the basis of the molecular analysis. The work is primarily focused on the phylogenesis of the individual orders, and there are also the divisions and differences between the taxons of particular orders. Part of the thesis are also results of morphological and molecular studies dealing with the group as a whole. The goal is to summarize the existing findings about this group, especially about the mutual phylogenetic relationships of the individual recent groups within Afrotheria. The results of the thesis should not only summarize and sort information about this group but also clarify among which taxons the relations are evident or unclear.
