Abstract:

Diplomová práce Mistři pěvci norimberští: estetická a filozofická proměna od počátků k dnešku je historicko-analytickou sondou, mapující vznik a uvádění hudebního dramatu Mistři pěvci norimberští. Je také ideologickou kritikou, která zkoumá, do jaké míry inscenace Mistrů pěvců akcentují nebo naopak potlačují potenciální toxické podtexty díla. Tyto podtexty práce vysvětluje ve vztahu k osobnosti Richarda Wagnera a v kontextu doby, ve které skladatel působil. Přínosem práce je též shromáždění informací o dané problematice v českém jazyce. Text práce lze rozčlenit na dvě části, přičemž část první zprostředkovává vhled do Wagnerových osobních postojů, které jsou relevantní vůči hudebnímu dramatu Mistři pěvci norimberští, a druhá část sleduje, jak se tyto a další myšlenkové obsahy projevily a vyvíjely během více než sto padesáti let jevištního uvádění tohoto díla. Přehled inscenační historie akcentuje zejména vývoj hudebního dramatu směrem k nacionálně-socialistickému výkladu a následné vyrovnávání se díla s touto složitou etapou.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis The Master-Singers of Nuremberg: Aesthetic and Philosophical Transformation of the Work from the Beginning to the Present Day is a historical-analytical probe, mapping the creation and performance of the musical drama The Master-Singers of Nuremberg. It also presents ideological critique that examines the extent to which productions of The Master-Singers accentuate or, on the contrary suppress the potential toxic undertones of the piece. The work explains these potential toxic subtexts in relation to the personality of Richard Wagner and in the context of the time in which the composer worked. Another contribution of the work is collection of information of the given topic in Czech language. The text of the thesis can be divided into two parts, with the first part providing an insight into Wagner's personal attitudes that are relevant to the musical drama The Master-Singers of Nuremberg, and the second part observing how these and other thought contents manifested and developped during more than one hundred and fifty years staging of this piece. The overview of the production history emhasizes in particular development of musical drama towards national-socialist interpretation and subsequent dealing with this complicated period.
