EU Institutional Changes Introduced by The Treaty of Lisbon

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je rešerše informací ohledně institucionálních změn, které již proběhly, resp. které nastaly okamžitě s účinností Lisabonské smlouvy, a které mají díky Lisabonské smlouvě ještě nastat. V první části bakalářská práce podává kritické zhodnocení slabin celého institucionálního systému a jednotlivých institucí EU. Druhá část pojednává o již proběhlých změnách pomocí Lisabonské smlouvy (o změnách, které nastaly okamžitě s platností Lisabonské smlouvy, a které nastaly s časovým odstupem) a o plánovaných změnách spojených s Lisabonskou smlouvou. Závěr se zaměřuje na vyhodnocení institucionálních změn a na výhled do budoucna.

Abstract:

The objective of the bachelor thesis presented herein is to research information on institutional changes already introduced, and those introduced instantly with the Lisbon Treaty´s legal force, and those that are yet to come. The first part is focused on the weaknesses of the overall institutional system and of individual EU institutions. The second part deals with the changes that have already been introduced by the Lisbon Treaty (the changes coming into existence immediately when the Lisbon Treaty entered into legal force, and those introduced later) and the changes connected with the Treaty of Lisbon planned in the future. The conclusion is concentrated on evaluation of the institutional changes and the outlook into the future.
