This bachelor thesis deals with DNS, presents its principles and important characteristics that can be monitored. It presents an overview of the monitoring tools (Bindgraph, DSC, DSCng, Cacti, Munin, Nagios) which can be used for the purpose of such monitoring. Táto bakalárska práca sa zaoberá systémom DNS, približuje jeho princípy a charakteristiky, ktoré je vhodné monitorovať pri prevádzke menných serverov. Uvádza prehľad nástrojov (Bindgraph, DSC, DSCng, Cacti, Munin a Nagios), ktoré je možné využiť za účelom takéhoto sledovania.
