The Support of Professional Development of Teachers by the Director of School

Abstract:

Jak ředitelé základních škol podporují učitele v profesním rozvoji? To je otázka, kterou se tato práce snaží zodpovědět. Teoretická část práce se snaží osvětlit klíčové koncepty práce a tím připravit prostor pro kvalitativní výzkum, který je prezentovaný v empirické části. Učitel by se měl sám aktivně rozvíjet a vzdělávat. Ředitel řídí školu a má dohlížet na to, aby se učitel věnoval svému profesnímu rozvoji. Spojením těchto požadavků vyvstává problém, kdy by se učitel měl věnovat profesnímu rozvoji, ale do toho požadavku vstupuje osoba ředitele, protože profesní rozvoj učitele se odehrává ve škole. Ředitel by měl učitele podporovat v rozvoji, ačkoliv není školen jako poradce. Vzniká tak analogie vztahu klienta a poradce. Učitel se ocitá prakticky v roli klienta, z vlastního zájmu pracuje s poradcem. Ředitel se pak dostává do role poradce, kdy má učiteli pomoci naleznout vhodná řešení a poskytovat mu oporu. Jak ředitelé základních škol podporují učitele v jejich profesním rozvoji?

Abstract:

How do the directors of primary schools support teachers in professional development? This is the question that this work tries to answer. The theoretical part of the thesis tries to elucidate key concepts of work and thus to prepare a space for qualitative research, which is presented in the empirical part. The teacher should develop and educate himself actively. The director directs the school and oversees the teacher's professional development. By combining these requirements, the problem arises when the teacher should devote himself / herself to professional development, but the person in the director enters the requirement because the teacher's professional development takes place at school. The director should support the development of the teacher, although he is not trained as a counselor. This creates an analogy between the client and the consultant. The teacher finds himself practically in the role of a client, working for himself with a counselor. The director then becomes a counselor to help teachers find suitable solutions and provide support. How do the directors of primary schools support teachers in their professional development?
