Fatal injuries of children in phase 2003-2008 in the city of Ostrava

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce s titulem: Smrtelné úrazy u dětí v období 2003 ? 2008 ve městě Ostrava se zabývá dětmi - dětskými pacienty, příčinami vzniku jejích úrazů, zkoumá věkovou skupinu, která je úrazy nejvíce postižená. Hlavním cílem je poukázat na rizikovou skupinu dětí, na nebezpečí, která jsou pro děti téměř všude, zabývat se možností předcházení těchto závažných úrazů. Teoretická část práce se zabývá smrtí dítěte v obecné rovině, jsou zde zmíněny některé možnosti poškození zdraví dítěte úrazem. Uvedeny jsou pouze některé příčiny vzniku dětských úrazů, nejrizikovější věkové kategorie dětí a způsoby vzniku úrazů. Praktická část bakalářské práce je čerpaná studiem konkrétních případů, ze zdravotní dokumentace dětských pacientů léčených v letech 2003-2008 na Oddělení pediatrické a intenzivní péče OPRIP B ve Fakultní nemocnici v Ostravě-Porubě. Okrajově jsou zmíněny dopravní úrazy šetřené PČR oddělení dopravní Police ČR Správy Severomoravského kraje Ostrava.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis titled: Children fatal accidents in Ostrava city during the period 2003 - 2008 is engaged with children´s patients and with causes of their occurrence. This thesis investigates age group which is the most affected with fatal accidents. The main aim is to point out this age group of children which is in the highest risk, the danger which can find these children nearly everywhere and last but not least; this thesis shows that there is possibility to avoid such fatal accidents. Theoretical part of the thesis deals with fatality of child on basic level. There are mentioned just some possibilities of children´s injuries, the most risky age group and ways of occurrence. Practical part of the thesis is concerned with study of particular cases coming from health documentation of children´s patients which were treated in Teaching Hospital - Pediatric Department of Intensive Care OPRIP-B in Ostrava-Poruba during the period 2003-2008. There are also mentioned traffic injuries which were examined by Police of Czech Republic, especially by department of Traffic Police CR of Administration of North Moravian Region Ostrava.
