Research on Sales of Spirits Aged in Barrels

Abstract:

Cílem mé práce je, na základě získaných dat o prodejnosti jednotlivých druhů destilátů zrajících v sudech, vyhodnotit, které druhy destilátů jsou nejoblíbenější mezi lidmi, jaké značky preferují, a kolik se jich v barech spotřebuje. Diplomová práce obsahuje tři hlavní části. V první části práce se zabývám historií jednotlivých destilátů, podrobně popisuji jejich výrobu a věnuji se také nejznámějším značkám. Druhá část práce je zaměřena na analýzu získaných dat o prodejnosti. Obsahuje několik grafů, které znázorňují spotřebu jednotlivých destilátů v jednotlivých barech. Využívám jak osobně získaných dat od manažerů barů, tak informace získané osobními konzultacemi. Vytvořil jsem také dotazník, který jsem umístil na internetové stránky. Následně tento dotazník v práci vyhodnocuji. Ze druhé části mé práce vyplývá, že největší prodejnost zaznamenal rum, následuje whisky, poté tequila a na závěr cognac. Ve třetí části práce navrhuji postupy, jak by se dala prodejnost destilátů zvýšit.

Abstract:

The goal of my work is based on data obtained on sales of individual types of spirits aged in barrels, evaluate which types of spirits are the most popular among the people, which brands they prefer, and how much of them are consumed in bars. My Master`s Dissertation contains three main parts. The first part deals with the history of individual spirits, describe in detail their production and also devote most famous brands. The second part focuses on the analysis of the collected data on sales. It contains several charts that illustrate each spirits consumption in individual bars. I use both personally gathered data from managers of bars and personal information obtained through consultations. I have also created a questionnaire that I had placed on the website. Subsequently, the questionnaire evaluate the work. The second part of my dissertation shows that the greatest marketability has rum, whiskey followed, then tequila and cognac at the end. In the third part, I suggest procedures which can be used to increase marketability.
