Psilocybin Induced Therapy

Abstract:

Práce se zaměřuje na mechanismus působení psilocybinu, jeho charakteristické vlastnosti a možnosti syntézy. Pozornost je věnována především psychickým a fyziologickým změnám vzniklým v důsledku psilocybinem asistované terapie, avšak diskutovány jsou i samotné komponenty tvořící terapii. Terapeutické uplatnění psilocybinu v klinické praxi se jeví z dosud publikovaných výzkumů nadějně, ale navzdory tomu je třeba zohlednit možný vznik potenciálně nebezpečných nežádoucích účinků.

Abstract:

The work focuses on the mechanism of action of psilocybin, its characteristic properties and possibilities of synthesis. Attention is paid mainly to the psychological and physiological changes resulting from psilocybin-assisted therapy, but the components of the therapy itself are also discussed. The therapeutic application of psilocybin in clinical practice appears promising from the research published so far, but despite this, the possible occurrence of potentially dangerous side effects must be taken into account.
